About Us:
Bircotes Swimming Club was established in June 2015 by our current Head Coach, Ericka Willis.
Ericka saw there was no local outlet for swimmers reaching the end of the learn to swim programme to progress and compete, thus, the club was born. It was not long before the club went from the original 4 swimmers to running at full capacity.
The home of the club is at Bircotes Leisure Centre, located on the border of South Yorkshire and North Nottinghamshire.
Achievements include: swimmers qualifying to compete at County and Regional level, helping pave the way to compete at National level and qualifying for the Open Water National Championships.
As well as the aim of competing, the club gives swimmers other opportunities. These include - sponsorred swims and triathlons, open water swimming, providing the opportunity to become Poolside Helpers, Lifeguards and Coaches / Swimming Teachers.
